Why:
Following a long day of testimony at a hearing of the Benghazi Committee, many news accounts concluded that Hillary Clinton emerged substantially unharmed and may have turned the investigation to her political advantage. Unscathed means "not hurt, harmed, or damaged." The word scathe in English comes from the Old Norse word meaning "to hurt" or "to injure." Although scathe is both a noun and a verb in English, unscathed and the adjective scathing (meaning "bitterly severe") are more commonly encountered.
