What does type shit mean?
Type shit (or type shi or type shii or type shi’) is used interjectionally as an affirmative, similar to saying something like “yes,” “yes, like that,” “agreed,” “truth,” “typical,” “for real,” or “seriously,” or even “that’s what I’m talking about it,” depending on the context.

Where does type shit come from?
This use of type shit is an extension of the type shit that is appended to a noun/phrase/etc. to describe or compare something. This type shit is a shortening of “type of shit,” with the shit in question meaning, simply, “stuff,” which has been in use for many decades.
