Where does cake come from?

Cake (also cakes) has a long history of use as slang for a person’s behind, dating back to at least the early 1970s. It has been popularized especially by hip-hop in recent years, in songs like “Cake” by Flo Rida and 99 Percent, and “Girls in the Hood” by Megan Thee Stallion.

How is cake used?

In a highly complimentary fashion, sometimes accompanied by the “awooga” sound of an old-timey car horn.
