plural wishbones
: a bone that is at the front of a bird's chest and that is shaped like a V
Note: When a chicken or turkey is eaten, its wishbone is traditionally dried and held by two people who each make a wish and pull the bone apart. The person who gets the bigger piece of the bone is supposed to get his or her wish.
