plural justifications
: an acceptable reason for doing something : something that justifies an action
He tried to present a justification for his behavior.
There is no possible justification for what she did.
His behavior is without justification.
He told lies in justification of his behavior. [=in order to make people think that his behavior was reasonable]
She noted with some justification that other people had experienced similar problems. [=it was not unreasonable of her to note that other people had experienced similar problems]
