Biographical Note for ligament of treitz




(1819–1872), Austrian physician. Treitz was a professor of anatomy and pathology at Krakow and later at Prague. In 1857 he rendered a classic description of the suspensory ligament of the duodenum which is now known as the ligament of Treitz.
