Medical Definition of fingolimod

: a drug C19H32NO2·HCl that is used orally in the treatment of relapsing multiple sclerosis which is marked by attacks of worsening neurological function alternating with periods of partial or complete remission

Note: Fingolimod is an immunomodulator that reduces the number of lympyhocytes circulating in the blood. It is marketed under the trademark Gilenya.
