: a bacterium of the genus Fusobacterium (F. nucleatum synonym F. fusiforme) and a spirochete of the genus Treponema (T. vincentii synonym Borrelia vincentii) that are sometimes found in necrotic tissue (as that of acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis or tropical ulcer)
