Frank Burr

(1862–1941), American pathologist. Mallory spent almost all of his career on the staff of Harvard Medical School and in the pathology department of Boston City Hospital. A pioneer in histopathology and pathologic techniques, he developed many differential tissue stains that came into wide use. He introduced his stain for connective tissue in 1900.
