Biographical Note for epstein's pearls




(1849–1918), Czech pediatrician. An authority on children's diseases, Epstein was director of the Children's Clinic and professor of pediatrics at Prague. He made numerous references to what are now known as Epstein's pearls in various clinical papers dealing with newborns and infants.
