a : an acid obtained from beta-truxilline by hydrolysis

called also beta-truxillic acid, beta-truxinic acid

b : an acid obtained from the potassium salt of beta-truxinic acid by fusion with potassium hydroxide

called also delta-truxillic acid, delta-truxinic acid
