Etymology

borrowed from German isoplethe "isoplethic," borrowed from Greek isoplēthḗs "equal in number," from iso- iso- + -plēthēs, adjective derivative of plêthos "great number, mass," from plēth-, base of plḗthein "to be full" — more at plethora
