  1. :  a venomous lizard (Heloderma horridum) of Mexico and Guatemala that is related to the Gila monster and has black or brown bumpy skin with yellow or white spots or bands, a broad flat head, and thick tail Beaded lizards typically weigh between three to six pounds (1.4 to 2.7 kilograms) with some males reaching a weight of over 8 pounds (3.6 kilograms).
