: any of an ancient breed of swift compact horses developed in Arabia that have large wide-set eyes, a face that is dished in profile, and usually gray or chestnut silky hair
Note: Arabian horses are noted for their graceful build, speed, intelligence, and spirit and are often used as sires to improve or modify other breeds.
