After a Goldman Sachs executive quit his job, he published a scathing critique of his former employer in The New York Times.
As the New York Daily News reported, using a phrase that appeared in other accounts, it was "a landmark cri de coeur, one that will have long-term reverberations for the company and the industry it so powerfully represents."
Cri de coeur means "a passionate outcry (as of appeal or protest)," and comes from the French phrase that translates literally as "cry from the heart."
