Putin uncovers his prediction for continuing ceasefire in Ukraine ...

When:

Lookups spiked on February 24, 2015.

Why:

When asked in a television interview about the shaky ceasefire in Ukraine and the possibility of outright war between that country and Russia, Vladimir Putin responded: "I believe that such an apocalyptic scenario is unlikely."

Apocalyptic means "of, relating to, or involving terrible violence and destruction" or "of or relating to the end of the world." It derives from apocalypse, which comes from the Greek word that literally means "uncovering" or "revelation." The Book of Revelation in the Bible gives a dark and dramatic picture of the end of time, when the wicked will be punished and the good will triumph through God's intervention. The Book of Revelation is also known as the Apocalypse.
