: a progressive purpuric disorder of the skin especially of the legs characterized by petechiae and patches of orange to brown pigmentation

Biographical Note for SCHAMBERG'S DISEASE

Schamberg, Jay Frank (1870–1934), American dermatologist. Schamberg held a number of positions with several medical schools in Philadelphia. He described the progressive pigmentary skin disease since known as Schamberg's disease in 1901.
