Medical Definition of PRONE PRESSURE METHOD

:  a method of artificial respiration consisting essentially of alternate pressure and release of pressure on the back of the thorax of the prone patient by means of which water if present is expelled from the lungs and air is allowed to enter—called also Schafer method
