Biographical Note for PACCHIONIAN BODY

Pac·chi·o·ni \ˌpäk-ē-ˈō-nē\ , Antonio (1665–1726), Italian anatomist. Pacchioni wrote several papers on the structure and function of the dura mater. In 1705 he published his major treatise on the subject, including a description of the arachnoid granulations now sometimes called pacchionian bodies.
