Biographical Note for ORMOND'S DISEASE

Ormond, John Kelso (1886–1978), American urologist. Ormond was for many years in charge of the department of urology at a Detroit hospital before engaging in private practice. In 1948 he published a description of ureteral obstruction resulting from fibrosis of retroperitoneal tissue. From 1952 to 1955 Ormond directed the urological department of a medical center in India.
