Biographical Note for NERVE OF LANCISI

Lancisi, Giovanni Maria (1654–1720), Italian physician. The foremost Italian physician of his time, Lancisi served as professor of anatomy and medicine and as personal physician to several popes. He described the nerve of Lancisi in 1711.
