Biographical Note for KELLER

Keller, William Lorden (1874–1959), American surgeon. Keller was an army surgeon who developed a number of new surgical procedures. He devised operations for hallux valgus (1904), varicose veins (1905), chronic empyema (1922), recurrent dislocation of the shoulder (1925), and stricture of the rectum and anus (1933) caused by contracture of the muscles around their circumference.
