Biographical Note for JAMES-LANGE THEORY

Lange, Carl Georg (1834–1900), Danish physician and psychologist. Lange produced several noteworthy studies in medicine and psychology. In 1885 he published a major psychophysiological work on vasomotor disturbances and conditioned reflexes during periods of emotional stress. In this study he introduced his version of the James-Lange theory. Lange developed the theory independent of James and at almost the same time.
