Biographical Note for HESCHL'S GYRUS

Heschl, Richard Ladislaus (1824–1881), Austrian anatomist. A professor of pathological anatomy, Heschl in 1855 published a textbook on the subject. The text includes his description of the convolution of the temporal lobe that now is known as Heschl's gyrus.
