Biographical Note for DIETL'S CRISIS

Die·tl \ˈdēt-əl\ , Josef (1804–1878), Polish physician. Dietl was a leading proponent of a school of medicine advocating that physicians can only diagnose and describe diseases, not cure them. His single medical contribution was his description of Dietl's crisis.
