Biographical Note for D'ARSONVAL CURRENT
Ar·son·val \ȧr-sōⁿ-vȧl\ , Jacques–Arsène d' (1851–1940), French biophysicist. D'Arsonval did pioneering work in electrotherapy. In 1892 he introduced the use of high-frequency currents to treat diseases of the skin and mucous membranes. The current is now known as the D'Arsonval current.
