Biographical Note for BOECK'S DISEASE

Boeck \ˈbœk\ Caesar Peter Moeller (1845–1917), Norwegian dermatologist. Boeck is known primarily for his description in 1899 of sarcoidosis or lupus pernio. The condition had been described previously and in 1917 was more fully described by Jorgen Nilsen Schaumann, but Boeck's description is known for its treatment of the cutaneous lesions and their histologic structure.
