Note: Though apparently attested as German Angiocardographie in 1928, currency of the word in medicine dates from its use by the Cuban pediatrician Agustín Walfredo Castellanos (1902-2000) and his colleagues R. Pereira and A. García-López in "La angio-cardiografía radio-opaca" (Archivos de la Sociedad de Estudios Clínicos de La Habana, vol. 31 [1937], p. 523) and subsequent publications.
