Merriam-Webster Online is the product of collaboration between the various departments at Merriam-Webster, Inc. The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, Thesaurus, Spanish-English Dictionary, and Medical Dictionary were created entirely by the Merriam-Webster editorial staff. The Web site was developed by and is administered and maintained by Merriam-Webster's Electronic Product Development team:

The Electronic Product Development team works closely with Hillary Hoffman, Director of Marketing; Joanne Watson, Marketing Designer; Lynn Stowe Tomb, Art Director; and Arthur Bicknell, Publicist.

Rebecca Bryer is the managing editor of the Word of the Day, Word for the Wise comes to us from Kathleen Taylor at WAMC radio, and Bill Albright of Reliant Systems is the developer of the Merriam-Webster daily Word Games.

Several people were instrumental in the original design and implementation of Merriam-Webster Online, including Gerry Wick, Kara Noble, Deborah Burns, Lisa Carlson, Jill Cooney, and Brett Palmer.
