Biobío River
Biobío River
geographical nameRiver, south-central Chile. Rising in the Andes Mountains, it flows northwestward 240 mi (380 km) to enter the Pacific Ocean near Concepción. Though it is one of Chile's longest rivers, it is shallow and navigable only by flat-bottomed boats.
