flag of Monaco
A law of April 4, 1881, established the national flag of Monaco. The colors of the flag are derived from the princely coat of arms, which has been used from the early Middle Ages. Flags of Monaco have displayed red and white since at least 1339. The similarity of the flag of Monaco to that of Indonesia is purely coincidental.
